There are hotels that get a sight more attention, but the Four Seasons Las Vegas, that understated retreat tucked in back of the Mandalay Bay complex is that tried and true friend, through it all—the best hotel in Las Vegas has never been much for the limelight, it has never really tried to get your attention, and that’s what makes this place such a find. With just over 400 rooms, which isn’t very many for around here, no casino, and very little to attract or detain those not staying there, even after some considerable renovations, the hotel doesn’t really grab your eye, or standout as anything special. Still, there’s beauty in the details, beginning with the somewhat secluded location, which allows guests to enjoy quiet times on the patio at Veranda, or by the lush pool, or in the very good spa, all without the usual crowds. Traveling with children? Guests have access to the water park-ish pool complex, out beyond the artfully-placed decorative shrubbery.
Need something more affordable? While the Four Seasons Las Vegas can often be booked for under $200 a night, depending on the time of year and the day of the week, there are plenty of times when rates can be nearly prohibitive.
